Commencement

The Emory University Commencement Ceremony (for bachelor’s degree candidates only) will be held on Monday, May 11, at 10:00 a.m. at Gas South Arena. Faculty from all schools are invited to march and participate in this important event for the graduating class.
The University ceremony will be immediately followed, in the arena, by the Emory College of Arts and Sciences Diploma Ceremony. Faculty members participating in the University Ceremony, as well as the Business (BBA), Nursing, or Medical Imaging Program diploma ceremonies, will march next door with their students to the Convention Center facilities for those events.
The registration site for faculty participation in the University Commencement Ceremony is now open for those who plan to march in the procession.
If you do not intend to march this year, or are only participating in the PhD hooding ceremony or school-specific ceremonies, you do not need to complete the form or notify us. This is an “accepts-only” registration system for the Emory University Ceremony faculty procession and seating at Gas South Arena. We need an accurate count in order to set up the correct number of chairs, and we thank you in advance for registering.

Regalia
Academic celebrations at Emory are more remarkable when the colors and distinctiveness of faculty regalia enhance the occasions. Members of the faculty are encouraged to join colleagues, students, trustees, and guests of honor, processing in academic costume at our special ceremonies.
Please note: If you do not have your own regalia, please reach out to Heather LeFleur at hlafleu@emory.edu with the Emory Bookstore to order your cap and gown by April 1, 2026.
Faculty Parents
Faculty members who are also parents of graduating students will receive information from the appropriate school closer to May if it is possible to participate in presenting their child’s diploma.
